The Demmer family business can rightly be considered a true institution of trade in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. It looks back on a long tradition. The company founder, Hans Demmer Senior, opened his first store in Mainz in 1928, from where he relocated to Ludwigshafen in 1947. The company headquarters, with an additional 150 square meters of retail space, still stands opposite the Pfalzbau Theater.
Demmer has consistently set the highest standards in selection and expertise for knives, airguns, and all outdoor equipment. The second-generation owners, Doris and Hans-Jürgen Demmer, also decided in 1981 to expand their offerings to include traditional clothing. This area, which they continue to cultivate with great dedication, is now called "Alpen Fashion" and is increasingly popular with younger generations. This demonstrates that staying true to one's personal style over the long term pays off.
In addition to its headquarters, Demmer offers its products in five other branches in Mannheim, Heidelberg, Speyer, Landau, and in the pedestrian zone of Ludwigshafen. All stores demonstrate a unified commitment to uncompromising quality and customer focus, while still blending individually into the unique historical character of their respective cities.
Frederik Demmer, who today in the third generation selects and manages the enormous product range, says about the Böker knife manufactory:

The Böker Optima Anniversary 150, a particularly rare and elegant version of a Böker classic, fascinates me. It demonstrates that aesthetics and function are not mutually exclusive. It combines traditional craftsmanship with uncompromising innovation, completely disregarding existing interchangeable blade concepts. It thus embodies the rigorous standards we, as the Demmer family business, set for all our products.
