As an end-user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return old batteries that we stock or have stocked as new batteries free of charge at a municipal collection point, to local retailers, or to us (Heinr. Böker Baumwerk GmbH, Schützenstr. 30, 42659 Solingen, Germany).
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

Pb = battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass.
Information on the Return and Disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
1. Disposal of old devices
Electrical and electronic devices must not be disposed of with household waste. The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on an electrical or electronic device indicates that the device must be disposed of separately from household waste at the end of its service life.
Please hand over old devices to the collection and return systems provided for this purpose. By collecting old devices separately and recycling them properly, you make an important contribution to protecting the environment and health, as well as to the reuse of valuable resources.
2. Return options for old devices
End-users are obliged to dispose of old electrical and electronic devices separately from unsorted municipal waste. Old devices can generally be handed in at municipal collection points or authorized return systems available in your country of residence.
Insofar as we are obliged to take back devices according to the applicable national regulations, we provide the legally prescribed return options for old devices. Information on specific return options can be obtained from our customer service at:
+49 (0) 212 4012-0
3. Notes on batteries and accumulators
If old devices contain batteries or accumulators that can be separated from the device, these should be removed before disposal, if possible, and handed in separately at a suitable collection point. Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to collect old batteries and accumulators separately and hand them in at suitable collection points.
4. Information for customers in Germany
For customers in Germany, the provisions of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) also apply. Private households can hand in old devices at municipal collection and return points. If there are statutory take-back obligations, we offer the return options prescribed by the ElektroG.
Our registration with the Elektro-Altgeräte Register (EAR) foundation: WEEE Reg. No. DE: DE94783479
5. Information for customers in other EU member states
The disposal and return of old electrical and electronic devices is subject to the national regulations of the respective member state. Customers are requested to use the local return and collection systems in their country of residence. Insofar as national regulations provide for manufacturer registration, authorization, or take-back obligations, we fulfill these requirements in accordance with the legal provisions of the respective country.
