Warnings and safety information:

Warning and safety information: Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue. Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries. Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone. Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly. Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended, such as as a lever tool, can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Description

The Boker AK1 Drop Point MagnaCut Black Birch Burl is a premium and particularly elegant interpretation of the popular AK1 concept. Developed in collaboration with young knifemaker Alex Kremer and Daily Customs, this compact fixed blade combines modern high-performance materials with natural elegance. It is designed for users who want a powerful, durable, and stylish EDC knife for everyday use.

Alex Kremer, born in 1993 in Fulda, Germany, began making knives at the age of 18. His designs are defined by clean lines, functional minimalism, and uncompromising practicality – inspired by numerous travels through the rugged landscapes of Scandinavia. The AK1 Drop Point reflects this philosophy in a perfect balance of everyday usability, performance, and timeless aesthetics.

The drop point blade made from powder metallurgy MagnaCut steel features a hardness of 62 HRC (±1). This modern high-performance steel is considered one of the most advanced knife steels available today, combining exceptional edge retention with high toughness and outstanding corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine powder-metallurgical structure, the edge stays sharp for a long time while remaining resistant to chipping and still relatively easy to resharpen. This makes the AK1 ideal for demanding everyday cutting tasks, outdoor activities, and precise work.

The handle scales made from black birch burl give the knife an especially refined and natural appearance. Black birch burl is known for its distinctive and lively grain pattern, making every knife a unique one-of-a-kind piece. In addition to its visual appeal, the wood offers a warm, comfortable feel in the hand and provides a secure grip. At the same time, it is durable and long-lasting, making it an excellent choice for a high-quality EDC knife that stands out both functionally and aesthetically.

The ergonomic handle design ensures a comfortable grip and precise control during all cutting tasks.

The reversible lanyard hole at the end of the handle can be rotated when the handle scales are removed and completely recessed into the handle. This keeps the AK1 especially slim and discreet – perfect for everyday carry.

Handcrafted in the Boker Manufactory in Solingen, Germany, this AK1 stands for the highest manufacturing quality and precise workmanship. The precisely fitted leather sheath allows for safe, lightweight, carry – ideal for modern EDC.
