Description
Description
"Pikal", which originates from the Visayan dialect of the Philippines, can be translated as "rip" and describes a devastatingly effective system of Filipino martial arts tactics. This system also served as inspiration for the Spyderco P'Kal, developed in collaboration with ShivWorks' renowned self-defense expert Craig "Southnarc" Douglas.
The flat ground CPM-S-30V stainless steel blade has a slightly curved cutting edge for impressive cutting performance. The optional Emerson Wave offers an amazingly fast blade opening, and it is secured by a Ball Bearing Lock.
As a reverse-edge knife, the handle of the P'Kal is ergonomically shaped so that it can be held with the blade facing inwards for powerful pull cuts. To support all appropriate carry and deployment methods, the P’Kal also features a reversible steel wire clip that provides tip-up, edge-forward and edge-back carry on both the left and right sides.
