Description
Description
The Boker Daily Knives AK1 Drop Point MagnaCut Gold is a compact fixed blade EDC knife that combines uncompromising functionality with an elegant appearance. Developed in collaboration with young knifemaker Alex Kremer and Daily Customs, this premium everyday carry knife is designed for users who demand a lightweight, precise, and versatile cutting tool for daily use.
Born in Fulda, Germany, in 1993, Alex Kremer began making knives at the age of 18. His design philosophy is strongly influenced by extensive travels through Scandinavia, resulting in clean lines, reduced forms, and a focus on function. The AK1 Drop Point perfectly reflects this approach, offering maximum everyday usability in a compact format.
The drop point blade made from powder metallurgical MagnaCut steel (62 HRC ±1) delivers excellent edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. This makes the fixed blade knife ideal for precise cutting tasks in everyday carry, urban environments, and outdoor activities.
A visual highlight of this model is the removable gold anodized aluminum handle scales. They provide an exclusive look while offering low weight, durability, and a comfortable grip. Using the included Torx key, the handle scales can be easily removed and replaced with alternative options developed in cooperation with Daily Customs.
The reversible lanyard hole at the end of the handle can be rotated and fully concealed inside the handle when the scales are removed. This creates a particularly slim and discreet profile, emphasizing the minimalist character of the knife.
Handcrafted at the Boker Manufactory in Solingen, Germany, the Boker Daily Knives AK1 Drop Point MagnaCut Gold stands for exceptional craftsmanship and premium quality “Made in Germany.” The included high-quality leather sheath with belt clip ensures secure and comfortable everyday carry.
