Tony Lennartz is an institution in the survival scene; most of our customers probably know his name. In the 1980s, he designed the legendary and peerless classic "German Expedition Knife". A redesigned version and two more recent variations are produced in-house by Boker. Now, Tony Lennartz is presenting the Travelhawk Axe, a joint project with Condor. We are very happy to be able to present the axe in our catalogue. Like all Lennartz designs, the Travelhawk is a creation of great experience combined with a creative and unconventional imagination. The shape was inspired by "Franziska" of the Franks and by the small Viking axe "Skeggöx". One clever feature is that the handle and head can be disassembled in one step. This makes the axe easy to transport; the head is also available separately as a knife for special tasks, such as skinning game. Supplied with high-quality leather blade guard.

Tony Lennartz ist seit Jahrzehnten eine Ikone im Bereich Outdoor, Survival und Bushcraft. Sein breites Erfahrungsspektrum beruht auf seiner jahrelangen beruflichen Tätigkeit als Soldat und Polizist ebenso wie auf seiner lebenslangen Leidenschaft für das Leben in der Wildnis. Während vieler längerer Aufenthalte in den USA und Kanada entstand eine enge Verbundenheit mit der Kultur der nordamerikanischen Ureinwohner, deren Techniken und Methoden er dort erlernen durfte.
Die Lehrgänge von Tony Lennartz, die auf einem weitläufigen Areal in der Eifel stattfinden, haben über viele Jahre Tausende von Teilnehmern mit den Grundlagen des Überlebens in der Wildnis vertraut gemacht. Wie kaum ein anderer bündelt Tony Lennartz die Wildniserfahrung aus Jahrzehnten und entwickelt seine Strategien und Techniken permanent weiter. So sind auch seine Messerdesigns quasi die Essenz seines Wissens und ein klares Bekenntnis an seine Philosophie kompromissloser Funktionalität.
