Shawn Owens can not only draw on his considerable martial arts experience. His design for the Micro Hawk is primarily inspired by his activities as a pilot. Low weight and compact dimensions are of course essential for airborne gear. The extraordinarily compact size of the Micro Hawk facilitates stowing in a minimum of space and comfortable carrying, while the solid 8.3 mm of steel provide plenty of effective handling and hacking force in spite of the Micro Hawk's small form factor. The use of 1095 carbon steel is of course equally responsible for the extreme strength and reliability. The fully circumferential edge on the axe allows the Micro Hawk to also be used as an outstanding knife, scraper, etc. Its premium kidded sheath with rotating clip supports a comfortable carry on a belt or the gear. A well-conceived tool that should be part of every emergency kit or outdoor pack. Shipped with emergency warning whistle.
