Warnings and safety information:

Warnings and Safety Information: Cuts: The most common hazard when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue. Knife Slippage: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injury. Injuries from Falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone. Dull Knives: Dull knives pose a greater risk of injury because they require more force to sharpen and are more likely to slip. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly. Misuse: Using a knife for tasks for which it was not intended (e.g., as a prying tool) can not only damage the blade but also lead to accidents.

Description

Dressing stone for flattening/dressing sharpening stones with transverse grooves to collect abrasion. Both natural and synthetic sharpening stones become hollow on the working surface over time when sharpened, creating an inward curvature. The dressing stone is used to create or maintain a flat/straight surface. A second application for the dressing stone is to rub off slurry from an existing sharpening stone. When sharpening with slurry, sharpening is done with so-called "rolling grit". With slurry, sharpness can be produced faster and finer with the same grit size than with the bare sharpening stone surface. For which sharpening stones is the product suitable? Suitable for Japanese waterstones of all grits and softly bonded natural stones (e.g. Belgian Whetstone/Coticule). Not suitable for Arkansas stones, artificial ceramic stones and diamond sharpening plates. Soak the sharpening stone and dressing stone with sufficient water. Rub the sharpening stone and dressing stone against each other in circular motions until the desired result is achieved. Keep both stones wet throughout the entire process. Usable surface dimensions: 180 x 60 mm. Height 25 mm.
