In addition to his masterful craftsmanship, he is also a passionate outdoorsman with a deep understanding of the design dynamics of high-performance hunting and fishing knives. One of his most popular designs is the Shelter Cove – the fillet knife of choice for many seasoned anglers worldwide. Now, Spyderco is proud to offer an affordable production version of this highly refined design. The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and is meticulously full-flat ground to provide an exceptionally thin edge geometry and a consistent distal taper. Expertly heat-treated for the optimal balance of edge retention and flexibility, the blade features a full-tang construction and contoured G-10 handle scales. An oversized lanyard hole completes the design. A faithful rendition of Wilson's coveted custom design, the Shelter Cove comes with a beautifully crafted genuine leather sheath featuring a belt loop.
