The family-run locksmith business Fischer is located in the historic center of Mittenwald, Germany's highest-altitude health resort and a popular vacation destination for hikers and winter sports enthusiasts. Mittenwald native Sepp Fischer and his wife Traudl started the business in 1975 as a locksmith service only. In 1980, they expanded their product range to include knives and gift items. After 38 successful years in business, the couple retired and handed over the management to their daughter Stefanie and son-in-law Andreas.
"Before taking over in 2018, I had already helped out part-time in my parents' business for many years and was therefore very familiar with our services and products. However, I had been around knives since childhood. I had my own pocketknife as a child, and it's always been a must-have on hikes and on my keychain. My passion for high-quality knives, however, only truly blossomed after we moved our business to a larger shop in 2018 and were able to expand our knife selection."
The addition of high-quality knives from Böker strengthened our already long-standing partnership, and we were grateful for the helpful recommendations and extensive experience of the Böker staff. This allowed us to present a beautiful and comprehensive selection that brings joy not only to us but also to our customers. What fascinates me most about this beautifully crafted knife is its successful blend of classic and modern design.
