Joe Mangiafico

Joe Mangiafico ist ein US-amerikanischer Messermacher und Designer, der seit 2013 individuelle Messer fertigt. Bekannt wurde er durch seine außergewöhnlichen Griffgestaltungen, bei denen er Farben und Muster verschiedener Forellenarten und anderer Fische in aufwendigen Mosaik-Konstruktionen aus G10 und Nichteisenmetallen nachbildet. Seine Messer verbinden hohe Funktionalität mit einer unverwechselbaren ästhetischen Handschrift.
Neben feststehenden Messern fertigt Mangiafico auch anspruchsvolle Liner-Lock- und Frame-Lock-Klappmesser. Für seine Arbeiten verwendet er überwiegend hochwertige rostfreie Stähle mit ausgezeichneter Korrosionsbeständigkeit und Schnitthaltigkeit. Darüber hinaus ist er als Designer für die Böker tätig. Durch diese Zusammenarbeit wurden seine Entwürfe einem breiten internationalen Publikum zugänglich und verbinden die Kreativität eines Custom-Messermachers mit den Möglichkeiten der Serienfertigung.
