Description
The CRKT M40 is based on an old design by the late knifemaker Kit Carson, who is well-known for the designs of the absolutely timeless knife series M16 and M21. It was discovered in a private collection and has now been revived. By using the recently developed Deadbolt Lock, CRKT combines classic design with modern innovation. With the patented locking mechanism, massive steel bolts secure the blade, preventing unintentional folding of the compact spearpoint blade made of 4116. A push button in the decorative axial screw is used to unlock the Tanto blade on ball bearings. The M40 is equipped with a lightweight handle made of structured FRN and aluminum bolsters. With a reversible clip (tip-up/l-r).
