Description
The Meerkat is one of the most futuristic Spyderco designs ever developed. Its key feature is its unique Phantom Lock mechanism. Similar to a classic “scale-release” backlock, it is operated by turning the handle halves in opposite directions to close the blade. This limited reissue of the Meerkat design not only makes it accessible to a new generation of knife fans, but also upgrades it with a blade made of CPM SPY27. This is a cobalt-enriched stainless steel with particle metallurgy produced exclusively for Spyderco, which offers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance. The fully flat ground PlainEdge blade of this knife benefits from all of these qualities and offers cutting performance that far exceeds its compact size.
