pyderco's best-selling Chaparral series offers the elegance of a single gentleman's folder platform and the variety of handle materials. Now those who need or prefer a non-locking blade can experience this sophisticated design in the SLIPIT format, Spyderco's slipjoint mechanism. The Chaparral SLIPIT swaps the design's standard back-lock mechanism for a full-length stainless steel backspacer and a non-locking mechanism with a notched joint. All other signature features have been retained, including a full-flat ground CTS XHP stainless steel blade, a textured index finger choil and thumb ramp, the signature thumb hole and a reversible tip-up wire pocket clip. The first version of the Chaparral SLIPIT offers the convenience of a clip and can be opened with one hand. The birdseye maple scales are stunning.
