Inspired by the sleek silhouette of the dace (hazel) fish, this nimble pocketknife translates natural efficiency into a compact, everyday-carry design.

Perfectly at home in hard-use EDC territory, The Dace thrives on tasks like cardboard, rope, and packaging, while still offering the finesse needed for food prep. The ball-bearing Nitro-V drop-point blade delivers excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance, snapping into action with the flipper. A discreet liner lock is integrated into the flattened handle made from gray 6061-T6 aluminum.

Iridescent blue anodized accents—including the tip-up pocket clip (r), blade pivot screw, and handle screws—add a distinctive visual highlight. A rugged stonewash finish, non-slip jimping on the blade spine, and a decorative ricasso elevate both aesthetics and performance.

Joe Mangiafico

Joe Mangiafico ist ein US-amerikanischer Messermacher und Designer, der seit 2013 individuelle Messer fertigt. Bekannt wurde er durch seine außergewöhnlichen Griffgestaltungen, bei denen er Farben und Muster verschiedener Forellenarten und anderer Fische in aufwendigen Mosaik-Konstruktionen aus G10 und Nichteisenmetallen nachbildet. Seine Messer verbinden hohe Funktionalität mit einer unverwechselbaren ästhetischen Handschrift.
Neben feststehenden Messern fertigt Mangiafico auch anspruchsvolle Liner-Lock- und Frame-Lock-Klappmesser. Für seine Arbeiten verwendet er überwiegend hochwertige rostfreie Stähle mit ausgezeichneter Korrosionsbeständigkeit und Schnitthaltigkeit. Darüber hinaus ist er als Designer für die Böker tätig.
