Warnings and safety information:

Warning and safety information: Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue. Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries. Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone. Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly. Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended, such as as a lever tool, can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Description

Throughout history, fixed-blade duty knives have served primarily as dependable tools rather than weapons. Whether used for camp chores, equipment maintenance, field repairs, food preparation, or general outdoor tasks, their versatility has made them indispensable companions. Only a few service knives have been purpose-designed with this universal utility in mind. Notable examples include the U.S. Army's M1880 Hunting Knife and M1890 Intrenching Knife, Germany's rare Kampfund Wirtschaftsmesser 45, and the British MOD Knife, which remains in military service today.

The HK MP7 Personal Duty Knife (PDK) continues this tradition with a modern interpretation focused on versatility, durability, and everyday practicality. Designed to excel as a dependable everyday carry (EDC) fixed blade, it is equally at home in outdoor, bushcraft, hunting, and professional field applications. Its name is inspired by the HK MP7 Personal Defense Weapon (PDW), reflecting the concept of compact, reliable personal equipment. The knife adopts key characteristics of its namesake, including outstanding ergonomics, the distinctive grip texture, excellent handling, premium workmanship, and uncompromising reliability.

At the heart of the HK MP7 PDK is a black-coated spear point blade made from Swedish 14C28N stainless steel. Enhanced with manganese and nitrogen, the alloy delivers an excellent balance of hardness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. Its fine-grained microstructure also provides outstanding toughness, resistance to chipping, and ease of resharpening, making it ideally suited for demanding everyday use.

The full tang construction ensures exceptional strength and is visible at the lanyard opening. The tang remains fully enclosed at the butt of the handle, providing a comfortable surface for applying pressure with the palm while maintaining a clean, ergonomic design. The one-piece overmolded handle is made from glass-fiber reinforced nylon (FRN), offering outstanding durability and a secure grip even in wet conditions or while wearing gloves.

Completing the package is a modular carry system built around a precision-molded Kydex sheath. The knife locks securely into place without requiring an additional retention strap. Users can choose between a heavy-duty nylon belt loop or a MOLLE-compatible steel clip, allowing the HK MP7 PDK to adapt equally well to everyday carry, outdoor adventures, or professional field use.
