Since January 1992, Waffen Krebs has represented expertise, passion, and personal service in the fields of hunting, firearms, and high-quality equipment. In that year, Joachim Krebs founded his company by taking over an established specialist store in Landsberg am Lech, Germany. The business originally operated under the name Waffen SAX but was renamed Waffen Krebs during the very first year. The Krebs name was already highly respected among hunters and continues to represent experience, trust, and professional advice today.
Over the years, Waffen Krebs has developed into a comprehensive specialist supplier for hunters and sport shooters. The product range includes rifles, shotguns, and handguns, as well as suitable ammunition for both handgun and long-gun applications. The selection is complemented by high-quality optics such as binoculars, riflescopes, and modern night vision technology. Before establishing his own company, Joachim Krebs worked in purchasing for Stiegele Jagd in Munich, where he developed close relationships with various knife manufacturers. At the IWA 1992 trade show, he selected the first product range for his own store, naturally including knives from Boker. The Boker brand has therefore been an important part of Waffen Krebs since the very beginning.
Knife sales quickly became one of the company’s key areas of expertise. Personal conversations with customers, hunters, and knife enthusiasts have always been an essential part of the business. Through extensive hunting experience and the practical use of different knives, recommendations have always been based on real-world experience. The company’s own hunting book also led to many detailed customer questions regarding blade steels, heat treatment, and edge retention, making continuous learning and staying up to date with knife technology essential.

As a Master Gunsmith, having completed his qualification in 2018, he practices his profession with great passion and expertise. Today, he manages most of the daily business operations with excellent results and receives very positive feedback from customers. Andreas Krebs has also developed a strong passion for high-quality knives and continues to strengthen and expand the knife business at Waffen Krebs.
