Like the capital of the Roman Empire, built on seven hills, the Upper Franconian city of Bamberg looks back on a turbulent history and was rightly given the magnificent nickname "Franconian Rome" by Emperor Henry II. Large parts of the historic old town are still very well preserved and have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. Numerous medieval buildings and religious structures inspire awe and transport visitors to a bygone era without appearing outdated.
But in one respect, Bamberg certainly has something over ancient Rome, something that would make many a glorious gladiator extremely envious. For where else can you buy elegant attire and fine blades directly from one source than at Hinz Waffen & Outdoor? This family-run business has been ensuring for over 90 years that hunting enthusiasts, anglers, and outdoor fans always have the right equipment and look stylish while doing so. With the move to Hallstadt, the sales area has been expanded to 120 m² to offer an even wider selection.
Frank Woitek completed his apprenticeship at Hinz and has worked for the company for 20 years. He manages the firearms department with a high degree of competence, a strong sense of responsibility, and above all, passion. He received his first knife at the age of three from his grandfather, who was already an avid firearms collector. The extensive product range includes various items from the categories of knives, firearms, bows, crossbows, and outdoor equipment, as well as everything related to billiards and darts. In the fashion department, Mr. Hinz and his team provide stylish advice to both men and women.
Meanwhile, Böker knives occupy a prominent place in Hinz's product range. Not only did the senior managers of both companies establish an exemplary business relationship from the ground up, but the commercial acumen of Mr. Starz, the current Böker sales representative, was also honed during his apprenticeship at Hinz. Frank Woitek praises the smooth cooperation, stating that " Böker always has an open ear for our wishes and problems ."
The department head has a special story connected to the Böker Barlow Integral Leopard Damascus knife : “ During my time in the military, I was a tank driver myself, which is why the knife sparked great enthusiasm in me and also in my military-minded customers. The elegant appearance of the collector's knife with its Damascus blade speaks for itself, even though the steel was once used in a piece of military equipment .”
Even without Kunz, Hinz Waffen & Outdoor is always a worthwhile destination at its new location in Hallstadt.
