Princes, kings, and emperors stayed at the famous inn " Zum Riesen " (At the Giant), which was first documented in 1158, making it one of the oldest of its kind in Germany. King Ludwig the Bavarian, Empress Maria Theresa, and even a certain King of Rock 'n' Roll have graced the " Fürstenherberge " (Princes' Inn), as it is unofficially known, with their presence.
Not far from the restaurant and hotel, customers at Simone Reubelt's shop, " Adelberger - der Laden," will find a princely selection. Adelberger began as a blacksmith and continues to craft custom knives to this day. Knives therefore occupy a prominent place in the product range, complemented by an excellent sharpening service. The demand for other household goods steadily increased, leading to a continuous expansion of the portfolio. Today, decorative items, books, and even yoga products are part of the home comfort collection. With over 20 years of retail experience, Simone Reubelt and her husband took over the business in July 2023 and embrace this new challenge with great joy and passion. Under the motto " Come in, marvel, be happy !", customers can look forward to an exciting journey of discovery.
The owner discovered her passion for knives at around the age of six, when she received her first knife as a gift from her grandfather, a hunter and knife collector.
