12,000 NEW BÖKER TREES FOR SOLINGEN! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Thanks to the overwhelming response to our promise to plant a new Böker tree in the Bergisches Land region with every order, numerous local forest areas will soon be sustainably reforested. Together with the Forestry Association, we are looking forward to 12,000 young trees breathing new life into the cleared spruce forests along the Wupper River. Numerous beeches, oaks, and larches will take root during the current planting season, providing new habitats for native wildlife! And of course, in a few years, we too will be able to explore and enjoy these new forests as hunters, bushcrafters, anglers, or hikers.
Even before the campaign ended, the first stately tree was symbolically planted directly in front of our knife factory in Solingen. Naturally, only a chestnut tree would do, as it is the namesake of the Böker tree tradition and a globally recognized seal of quality that still adorns our handcrafted knives today.
The Aesculus carnea Briotii, also known as the red-flowering horse chestnut, bears bright red blossoms and will, in just a few years, serve as a tranquil retreat for birds and insects, as well as providing natural shade for our staff. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your important contribution to regional nature and climate protection!
Only together can we preserve, nurture, and promote the beauty and diversity of nature for future generations. We will, of course, keep you informed about the further development of the Böker trees in the future.
