Unlike the many other excellent barbershops that like to present themselves in a rugged way with tattoos and beards, Jeroen Jansen's barbershop in Bladel near Eindhoven is an elegant, bright men's salon with a classicist simplicity. Jeroen has been cutting classic, expertly crafted, and modern men's hairstyles for 35 years. He is also particularly dedicated to wet shaving with a hand-forged straight razor.
In his salon, you can enjoy a traditional shave with a real straight razor in a refined atmosphere. This is a rare treat, as most establishments use only disposable blades due to time constraints. He also considers it his duty to enable others to experience this traditional method of shaving. To this end, he offers in-depth, personalized consultations, courses, and a wide range of products. Several hundred hairdressers and private clients have already learned how to use the forged Böker straight razor from him. This passion didn't arise by chance. As an apprentice, he had to shave his master every morning while he read the newspaper. Today, he is deeply grateful to his former mentor for this. Jeroen's mastery of stropping and the use of straight razors is unparalleled.

Another great passion of Jeroen and his wife Yvonne is Italy. They noticed that the selection of men's shaving accessories and grooming products there was far more extensive than in the Netherlands. It seemed logical to import the items missing from the Dutch market. Every vacation thus became a professional training and business trip. In addition to their online shop "Scheersalon.nl," they also founded their wholesale and retail business "Shavingpoint.com," where barbers can find everything they need for wet shaving. Since the highest quality standards are an absolute prerequisite for their international product selection, a partnership with the Böker manufactory was a natural fit.
With the Scheersalon straight razor, Jeroen presents his first personal interpretation of the perfect straight razor. He considers the 6/8-inch blade width to be optimal for working with straight edges. The Spanish point helps him precisely define contours. For uncompromising sharpness, Jeroen has chosen tried-and-tested silver steel. The handle material, Bocote, is based on his experience with his customers, who prefer a somewhat more rustic look. A highlight of this special edition is the metal spacer.
