For our 2015 Damascus Knife of the Year, we use the unique hand-forged stainless Damascus steel from Chad Nichols in Mississippi, who provides not only the blade material for this beautiful collector's item, but also the material for the bolsters. The distinctive "Boomerang" pattern, with its wide, harmonious wave pattern, lends Armin Stütz's design a very special appeal. The dark grenadilla wood scales create a striking contrast and showcase the exquisite Damascus steel to its best advantage. Thanks to the stainless steel, the 2015 Damascus Knife of the Year is not only an exceptionally beautiful collector's item, but also perfectly suited for everyday use. The blade locks via a solid steel liner, which is perforated under the scales to reduce weight. Spindle-shaped spacers create an open back of the handle, adding further lightness to the design.
