For 2013, we opted for a more modern design by Jens Ansø. His "Solo" model was completely redesigned and reconstructed to bridge the gap between modern design and traditional knifemaking. Instead of CNC-machined aluminum, it features a classic construction consisting of steel liners housing the liner lock. Brushed stainless steel bolsters and desert ironwood scales transform the Solo into a completely different knife. The slightly sloping handle fits perfectly in the hand and exudes confidence-inspiring stability. The tang is also made of Damascus steel, adding a distinctive touch. The beautifully curved blade is crafted from 170-layer stainless Damascus steel from Chad Nichols' forge. With its "Riptide" pattern, the blade is not only a true beauty but also perfectly suited for everyday use thanks to its corrosion resistance.
