The 2011 Damascus annual knife is based on the "Thorn" model by Jim Burke from Mississippi, whose designs have previously focused on tactical knives. While the Thorn carries these genes and exudes a high degree of stability, it is a truly convincing gentleman's knife. The 3.5 mm thick blade is made of hand-forged, stainless Damascus steel in a raindrop pattern by the internationally renowned Damascus steel smith Chad Nichols from the USA. The brushed stainless steel bolsters create a harmonious transition from the Damascus blade to the select handle scales made of desert ironwood. The blade opens via the characteristic nail nick and locks securely with a liner lock. Features a lanyard hole. No pocket clip. Limited to 999 pieces worldwide.
