Pure Damascus steel: For all enthusiasts of the coveted Böker Damascus annual knife series, a very special knife has been designed for 2008: The liner-lock gentleman's knife by renowned Austrian master cutler Stefan Gobec forms the basis for this year's Damascus annual knife. The blade consists of over 300 layers of Damascus steel, meticulously hand-forged by the Böker Damascus smith and crafted in the "Small Pyramid" pattern. As a striking contrast, we use powder-metallurgically produced, stainless Damascus steel in the "Small Rose" pattern for the bolsters, which, together with the handle scales made of 3,000-year-old bog oak, creates a unique appearance. To emphasize the knife's exclusivity, the spacer on the back of the handle is also made of stainless Damascus steel. This exquisite work of art is entirely handcrafted at the Böker manufactory in Solingen. The edition is numbered and limited worldwide to 999 copies; delivery includes an elegant wooden box and certificate. Clip not included.
