Description
Description
Bob Terzuola, a member of the Blade Magazine Hall of Fame and custom knifemaker, has been setting the standard for ready-to-use fixed-blade knives since the early 1980s. In 1981, Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser revolutionized the knife industry with the introduction of a pocket clip on a folding knife. He combined this concept with Spyderco's now legendary trademark, the round thumb hole, to create the first pocket knife that could be opened with one hand and carried with a clip. In 1990, Bob became the first Spyderco employee to incorporate Sal's innovations into his tactical knife designs, creating the groundbreaking C15 Bob Terzuola. In 1999, Spyderco worked with Bob again to bring the Starmate to market, which combined the core features of Bob's Advanced Technology Combat Folder (ATCF) with the benefits of thumb opening and pocket clip. Twenty-five years later, Spyderco is proud to celebrate Bob and Sal with the reintroduction of this limited edition Starmate Sprint Run. Its hollow ground, modified clip point blade is made from powder metallurgical CPM-20CV. The satin-finished blade harmonizes with the handle made of removable G10 handle scales and skeletonized stainless steel liners, which form the basis for the knife's robust liner lock. The handle features an inlaid Terzuola logo and a four-way reversible pocket clip.
