Description
CPM REX 121 from Crucible Industries is a cobalt-containing tool steel that offers the highest wear resistance, achievable hardness and hot hardness of any high-speed steel. Designed to bridge the performance gap between high-alloy tool steels and carbide materials in demanding industrial applications, it offers extreme hardness and unsurpassed edge retention in knife blades. This unique variant of the popular Sage 5 showcases the remarkable properties of REX 121 in its fully flat ground, satin finish blade. To further emphasize its elite status, it also features a distinctive orange G10 scales with peel-ply texture. All other features of this knife are consistent with the proven Sage 5 platform, including interlocking skeletonized stainless steel liners, a high-strength compression lock mechanism, and a reversible tip-up wire clip that supports ambidextrous tip-up carry.
