The CIVIVI Pyrus Slip Joint Utility Knife is an ultra-compact and lightweight EDC utility knife designed specifically for precise, fine cutting tasks in everyday use. Designed by Ostap Hel, this model combines minimalist aesthetics, modern materials, and a safe, simple mechanism for daily practicality.

The blade is made from proven Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel with a hardness rating of 58–60 HRC. This corrosion-resistant steel delivers a balanced mix of corrosion resistance, durability, and reliable edge retention. The extremely short hawkbill blade with a refined satin finish is optimized for controlled pull cuts and precision tasks where control matters more than cutting length.

The handle is made from lightweight yet durable G10 in a distinctive powder pink finish. The textured surface provides a secure grip while maintaining excellent durability and extremely low weight. Its compact construction makes the knife highly discreet and ideal for light everyday carry use.

For operation, the CIVIVI Pyrus features a precise double detent slip joint mechanism, offering secure spring-tensioned resistance without a true locking system. This ensures safe, controlled handling in everyday environments. The blade rides on caged ceramic ball bearings, delivering surprisingly smooth action despite the knife’s ultra-small size.
