The Honshu Boshin Damascus Katana combines tradition and innovation to create a masterpiece of modern sword design. The Boshin is no ordinary katana. The 800-layer damascus blade has unsurpassed sharpness and toughness. The ergonomic handle is wrapped in textured TPR and offers exceptional grip that cannot be achieved with traditional ray skin and cord. The handle is topped with an oversized polished steel pommel, and the crossguard eschews fanciful ornamentation in favor of a practical, pointed elliptical design. In keeping with the clear, functional motif of the Boshin, the smooth TPR sheath largely dispenses with decorative elements.
