The SOG Hidaka XR 3V Black is a premium outdoor and tactical folding knife designed in collaboration with renowned Japanese knife designer Kiku Matsuda. Combining striking aesthetics with outstanding functionality, this knife is built for demanding outdoor adventures, bushcraft, survival, tactical applications, and heavy-duty cutting tasks.

Its black-coated CRYO-treated CPM 3V steel blade delivers exceptional toughness, outstanding wear resistance, and superior resistance to chipping under extreme use. The modified tanto blade provides a reinforced tip for piercing strength while maintaining excellent cutting performance for precision work and demanding utility tasks. With a 0.15-inch blade thickness, it is engineered to handle challenging applications with confidence.

The knife features a flipper for rapid deployment along with the highly regarded XR Lock. Rated to withstand forces of up to 1,500 pounds, the XR Lock provides outstanding blade security and delivers the solid lock-up feel of a fixed blade while maintaining the convenience of a folding knife. The mechanism ensures the blade remains securely locked until intentionally released.

The ergonomic black Linen Micarta handle offers a secure grip in wet, cold, or dirty conditions. Micarta is valued for its lightweight construction, moisture resistance, durability, and excellent traction, making it an ideal handle material for demanding outdoor and tactical environments.
