Description
The Bodacious, designed by Spyderco co-founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame member Sal Glesser, is a rugged folding knife named after a legendary American bucking bull. Inspired by the strength and unyielding spirit of this animal, its robust construction offers uncompromising reliability. This version of the Bodacious takes performance even further with a blade made of stainless CPM SPY27 steel. This exclusive Spyderco stainless steel contains a special blend of alloys, including vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen. This advanced formula is further enhanced by the signature element cobalt and the state-of-the-art process of powder metallurgy to create a blade steel that offers excellent toughness, corrosion resistance, and edge retention. The leaf-shaped PlainEdge blade of the Bodacious features a flat grind and a satin finish for smooth cutting performance. The handle consists of skeletonized stainless steel liners with smooth, cobalt-blue G10 scales attached. The liners not only provide impressive structural strength but also form the foundation for the knife’s high-strength Compression Lock mechanism, offering a secure attachment platform for the wide pocket clip (Tip-Up), which is reversible.
