Warnings and safety information:

Warning and safety information: Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue. Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries. Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone. Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly. Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended, such as as a lever tool, can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Description

Signature Edition: For collectors and connoisseurs, this is one of only five exclusive examples featuring Lucas Burnley’s engraved signature on the blade.

Minimalist design, robust full-metal construction, and a premium tool steel designed for exceptional toughness: the Boker BFF Packlite CPM 3V combines the distinctive design language of US knifemaker Lucas Burnley with a configuration focused on EDC, outdoor use, and versatile cutting tasks. As a fixed-blade skeleton knife, neck knife, and hanging knife, this all-metal knife offers functional construction and flexible carry options.

The drop-point blade made from CPM 3V with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 60 is aimed at users who prioritize exceptional toughness, high edge stability, and very good wear resistance. CPM 3V from Crucible Industries is a powder metallurgy tool steel specifically developed for applications where resistance to breakage and edge chipping is particularly important. Compared with many other high-performance tool steels, one of CPM 3V's greatest strengths is its remarkable combination of toughness and wear resistance.

Its composition, including a high proportion of vanadium, promotes the formation of hard vanadium carbides. These contribute to wear resistance and edge retention, while the powder metallurgy manufacturing process provides a fine and consistent microstructure. This allows CPM 3V to offer a highly durable cutting edge without relying solely on maximum hardness or an extremely high carbide volume. The hardness of HRC 60 further supports cutting performance and provides a stable, long-lasting edge.

CPM 3V is particularly interesting for users who expect their knife to handle mechanically demanding cutting tasks. The steel is known for its very high toughness and its resistance to chipping along the cutting edge. This makes it an interesting alternative to extremely wear-resistant steels where the edge may be more susceptible to damage under heavy stress. At the same time, CPM 3V is not stainless and therefore requires appropriate care when exposed to moisture.

The open full-metal skeleton construction emphasizes the minimalist character of the BFF Packlite. Jimping along the spine helps improve control during precise cutting tasks. The fitted Kydex sheath with ball chain allows flexible neck or hanging carry and complements the versatile EDC configuration.

Whether used as an EDC knife, neck knife, outdoor knife, or compact backup knife, the Boker BFF Packlite CPM 3V is aimed at demanding knife enthusiasts who prefer a particularly tough tool steel with high edge stability. The combination of CPM 3V at HRC 60, high toughness, wear resistance, Lucas Burnley design, full-metal construction, and Kydex sheath makes this fixed-blade knife a capable choice for versatile and demanding cutting tasks.
