Description
Description
Minimalist design, functional full-metal construction, and a proven stainless knife steel: the Boker BFF Packlite AEB-L combines the distinctive design language of US knifemaker Lucas Burnley with a configuration focused on versatility and everyday usability. As a fixed-blade skeleton knife, neck knife, and hanging knife, this all-metal knife is particularly well suited to EDC, outdoor activities, and use as a compact backup knife.
The drop-point blade made from AEB-L with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 60 focuses on a fine, stable edge, good edge retention, and high toughness. AEB-L is a stainless knife steel originally developed for razor blade production and is known for its very fine microstructure and excellent toughness. With approximately 13% chromium and a comparatively moderate carbon content, AEB-L forms a fine carbide structure. This allows the steel to support a particularly thin and sharp cutting edge with strong resistance to chipping.
AEB-L particularly stands out when it comes to edge stability. Rather than being optimized primarily for maximum wear resistance, the steel is designed around a balanced combination of sharpness, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. At HRC 60, the BFF Packlite offers a practical hardness that combines good edge retention with the characteristic toughness of AEB-L. This makes the steel especially appealing to users who prefer a fine, high-performing, and durable cutting edge rather than focusing exclusively on maximum wear resistance.
The open full-metal skeleton construction emphasizes the minimalist character of the BFF Packlite while allowing different grip positions. Jimping along the spine helps improve control during precise cutting tasks. The fitted Kydex sheath with ball chain allows flexible neck or hanging carry and complements the knife's versatile EDC configuration.
Whether used as an EDC knife, neck knife, outdoor knife, or compact backup knife, the Boker BFF Packlite AEB-L is aimed at users who want a corrosion-resistant, tough, and highly responsive cutting edge. The combination of AEB-L at HRC 60, Lucas Burnley design, full-metal construction, and Kydex sheath makes this fixed-blade knife a versatile companion for everyday and outdoor use.
