Description
The size, weight and design make this the axe for the finer and more precise cutting tasks. The heart of every axe is the head. In this particular design, the head is made of solid carbon damascus steel with 360 layers and the ears on the sides of the eye are typical of hand-forged axes. The cutting edge is razor-sharp and, with the handle grasped directly under the head, is also suitable for work such as carving, and feathering of sticks and and skinning. In keeping with the noble head material, the handle is made of high-quality and decorative walnut wood. An included leather sheath made of natural-coloured light cowhide and carefully sewn piping reliably protects the cutting edge. Two leather handles hold the axe securely in position. A double-riveted strap on the back of the sheath allows the axe to be hung or attached to a rucksack for transport.
