Boker Plus Appalachian Axes
Ancestral Tools for Modern Wilderness Work
From the hearthside log pile to the backcountry camp, the Boker Plus Appalachian Axes carry forward one of humanity’s oldest and most reliable tools - reimagined for today’s outdoorsmen. Forged for precision, balance, and endurance, they embody the timeless craftsmanship that defines true Boker performance.
Built for Serious Work
Each axe features a Rhenish-style head forged from 1055 carbon steel, chosen for its exceptional hardness, edge retention, and durability. The balanced blade geometry with a 10.7 cm cutting edge performs equally well in felling and splitting, while the pronounced heel doubles as a turning hook for moving logs with ease. A protective lacquer coating guards the steel against rust and weather.
Strength from Handle to Head
The 600 g head weight strikes the ideal balance for versatility, paired with a premium American hickory handle-renowned for its long, tough fibers and unmatched shock resistance. Each handle is double-wedged with both a wooden wedge and a steel sleeve to ensure long-term stability and safety in demanding use.
Two Sizes, One Purpose: Capability
Appalachian Big: Extended reach and higher leverage for full-power swings.
Appalachian Small: Compact and agile for one-handed or precision camp tasks.
Leather sheath sold separately.
