Tony Lennartz is an institution in the survival scene; most of our customers probably know his name. In the 1980s, he designed the legendary and peerless classic "German Expedition Knife". A redesigned version and two more recent variations are produced in-house by Boker. Now, Tony Lennartz is presenting the Travelhawk Axe, a joint project with Condor. We are very happy to be able to present the axe in our catalogue. Like all Lennartz designs, the Travelhawk is a creation of great experience combined with a creative and unconventional imagination. The shape was inspired by "Franziska" of the Franks and by the small Viking axe "Skeggöx". One clever feature is that the handle and head can be disassembled in one step. This makes the axe easy to transport; the head is also available separately as a knife for special tasks, such as skinning game. Supplied with high-quality leather blade guard.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Tony Lennartz

Tony Lennartz has been an icon in outdoor, survival and bushcraft for decades. His wide range of experience is based on his years of professional activity as a soldier and policeman, as well as on his lifelong passion for life in the wilderness. During many longer stays in the USA and Canada a close connection with the culture of the Native Americans developed, whose techniques and methods he could learn there.
