The Nitecore TM9K is powered by a high-performance 21700 Li-Ion battery with 5000 mAh, which enables an extreme luminous power of 9500 lumens over a range of 268 m. The USB-C port integrated in the lamp head allows the integrated battery to be charged to 80% in less than two hours. The lamp is controlled by two switches on the end cap. The main switch is used to switch on/off and operate the moment light function. The mode switch, on the other hand, is used to turn on the five different modes (9500/1900/460/130/30 lumens) and the stroboscope.

The lamp is also equipped with a mode memory function that stores the most recently used light mode and is reactivated after switching on and off again. This is particularly interesting for tactical use. A small LED light on the end cap continuously provides information about the state of charge. Constant light activation ensures a continuous glow of the lamp, as well as a temperature control, which regulates the luminous power of the lamp as soon as the housing becomes too warm, allows for trouble-free long-term use. A lockout mode, which is activated by actuating both switches at the same time, allows the lamp to be stored safely. Included are a clip, a lanyard, a USB-C charging cable and a holster.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.

Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
