Special attention deserves the noble handle made of over 100 years old oak wood, which combines moderate elegance with experienced history. The material for this comes from the beams of the venerable walls of Burg Castle on the Wupper, one of the largest castle complexes in western Germany and the historical and cultural flagship of the Bergisches Land. In the course of the extensive restoration work of the former headquarters of the Counts and Dukes of Berg, Boker has managed to secure some original beams for the production of the extraordinary handle scales. The coarse grain as well as the differently nuanced brown tones arouse desires and emphasize the graceful character of the chef's knife. The ball-shaped handle with excellent hand position is completed by the noble end knob made of damask, which perfectly balances the chef's knife and thus gives it a dignified frame.
The heart of the Boker Ritterschlag Damast chef's knife is its hand-forged blade made of stainless damascus, which guarantees an incomparable cutting experience while cooking with durability, bravery and goodness. The forged split piece of 150-layer damascus is heated to red heat by us in Solingen and drop-forged into its beautiful shape by a two-ton drop hammer. Not least due to its breathtaking Damascus pattern, the virtuous qualities of high toughness and hardness (60 HRC) as well as the historic handle material, the chef's knife occupies an exceptional position in its guild and elevates every kitchen to the rank of knights. The future owners are thus assured of unimagined prestige and delight. The delivery of the chef's knife, limited to 25 copies, is made with an individual serial number in a leather-covered gift box and with a certificate of authenticity. Handmade in the Boker knife manufactory Solingen.
The chef's knife, or chef's knife, is one of the most important knives in the kitchen and is part of the basic equipment. It has a slightly wider and longer blade than the all-purpose knife. The slender tip is excellent for cutting onions or small vegetables. Thanks to its length, it can also be used as a meat knife. Even large vegetables can be processed with it without any problems.
Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
