Piercer F40-61

The Steel Will Piercer Folder is the first collaboration of Steel Will and the experienced and popular Italian knifemaker Tommaso Rumici. The goal was to design a versatile, compact yet rugged utility knife with a sturdy point that can easily pierce wood, plastic, leather and thin metal sheets. Together, the blade and handle back form a wide even arch. The edge also follows a single even radius.

Combined with the high grind, the knife is very effective and suitable for a number of different tasks. The blade was made from durable, reliable D2. Rumici's designs typically focus on ergonomics. The finger choil offers a great grip for pull cuts and stabs. With everyday use in mind, the handle profile was left purposefully flat and the G10 received a fine texture that doesn't wear out pockets and doesn't drag on pull cuts. The clip (tip-up) is simple and slim, reminiscent of a ball pen clip. It ensures that you can carry the Piercer in your pocket. The F40-61 with a titanium framelock is the noble variation of the Piercer family.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
