The Pentagon FX Covert Blackout from SOG operates as a compact tactical knife in full tang design mostly inconspicuously. With its black coated and double-sided blade made of robust CPM-S-35VN as well as the removable handle scales made of black G10, the fixed knife masters covert missions of everyday life reliably and without much fuss. Supplied with a custom-fit GRN sheath and a lanyard hole, the SOG Pentagon FX is already waiting for its next use.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

Solid, practical, utilitarian

Very solid for a lightweight folder. I use mine everyday for opening boxes and general knife things. It's definitely solid enough for self defense though. It holds it's edge great and the black finish hasn't polished at all in the few months of daily use I've put it through. It is an easy ambidextrous opener too.
