Bleak prospects for all the unruly cutting tasks of everyday life: The fully-grown Boker Plus Nubilum spreads stylish elegance in the EDC world and is awaiting its first use. Equipped with an imposing drop-point blade made of D2, the pocket-knife cuts confidently through cardboard, rope or smaller branches. The flipper and linerlock make the Nubilum easy to use and underline the usual Boker Plus performance. The handle made of wild carbon fibre is ergonomically shaped and lies perfectly in the hand even under the most adverse conditions. The expressive handle scales are decoratively set off by the blue anodised liners including screws as well as the orange ring on the blade axle screw. The deep-carry clip allows tip-up carry (r) and the lanyard hole provides a further attachment option.

Nicht ganz perfekt

Ich besitze bereits das Gegenstück Nebula, mit dem ich sehr zufrieden bin und darum musste auch das etwas schlankere Nubilum her. Was mich allerdings stört, ist die nicht perfekte Einhandbedienung beim Einklappen. Kurz nach der Entriegelung mit dem Linerlook ist ein Widerstand zu spüren der das Einklappen der Klinge nicht flüssig macht. Das Problem liegt an der Positionierung der Kugel in der Platine, die die Klinge im eingeklappten Zustand hält. Wäre die Kugel in der Platine genauso angeordnet wie beim Nebula, würde das nicht auffallen. Da dieser Punkt sofort beim Zuklappen überwunden werden muss. Zusätzlich wären noch eine etwas dünnere Platine von Vorteil, der eventuell auch dazu führen würde, das Messer leichter und flüssiger zu schließen. Ansonsten ein optisch, schönes Arbeitsgerät.
