Exoskeleton, gravity and a futuristic design - what sounds like ingredients for a science fiction film, Reate makes real and tangible with the MINI-EXO. The compact drop knife does without common opening aids and relies solely on gravity and the support structure of the titanium handle. By operating the small lever, one half of the handle is opened sideways so that the tanto blade, which is made of powder metallurgy CPM-3V, slips out of the handle body simply by gravity or centrifugal force. To lock the blade, simply close the handle half and secure it with the small lever. This mechanism increases the everyday utility and stands for high durability. The weightless design is rounded off by the brown micarta handle inlay, a stonewash blade finish and the titanium clip (tip-down/r).

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
