Nitro-V
Its special feature is the alloy's nitrogen content. Similar to carbon, nitrogen forms carbide nests with the iron lattice and thus increases hardness and wear resistance. Above all, however, it increases the rust inertia by 16 times (!) the same amount of added chromium. According to the data sheet, Nitro-V is largely an AEB-L with 0.11% nitrogen. Nitro-V is an excellent choice among modern, affordable utility steels.
