MagnaCut
Magnacut is a further development of powder-metallurgical top steels that offer either high toughness or high rust resistance with outstanding edge-holding properties. Until now, rust resistance has been achieved at the cost of a high chromium content, which, however, also increases the brittleness of the steel structure. With Magnacut, particular attention was paid to the optimum balance of the alloy components chromium, vanadium and niobium, whereby the chromium content was reduced to 10.7%. The result is a steel with a previously unattainable combination of toughness, rust resistance and edge-holding properties.
