Terrific Dagger
Great modern version of a Fairbairn Sykes 3rd pattern dagger. The knife is made in England with a pretty good fit and finish, although non perfect (to give an idea, a little better than KaBar or Ontario knives). These details doesn't matter that much anyway, considering a Macdonald Armouries or a Joseph Rodgers costs thrice for the same toughness but a better finish when you look at it under a magnifier. If you want a good tool, it is a 100% legit user blade, not a substandard reproduction. Fantastic ergonomics, balance and shape. Great carbon steel, not too sharp out of the box, yet so easy to take a razor edge in a few minutes. Solid point, tight construction, no rattle from any parts. Surprizingly thick paint on the handle, will last. The sheath is like an original with an elastic band instead of a snap fastener: OK for what it is, crappy on nowadays standards ; should be carried in a better leather sheath or a custom kydex. In the end, an excellent dagger. This William Rodgers is probably one of the best current F-S knives.
