Friction folders have increasingly gained in popularity. The extremely simple design of the mechanism does away with any form of locking or spring and features a freely hinged blade. The exposed blade spike when closed is not only used to easily deploy the blade, but represents a thumb rest when used, thus providing a level of operational safety similar to a lockable knife. Bastinelli applies this century-old principle to a modern day pocket knife that without question meets the demands placed on a modern day tool for everyday use.

Warning and safety information:
Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.
Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.
Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.
Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.

After years of experience in production as well as in distribution he founded his business in 1977, which is running as a family business since then. With a great deal of innovation, by constantly testing new materials and techniques, Fox has been one of the leaders on the knife market. Next to manufacturing traditional and elegant knives, the concept of producing tactical knives for police and military is an essential component for Fox Knives. The official certification as a supplier of the NATO shows seriousness, with which Fox is pursuing the lines and making it perfect with the section FMKD.
