The classic Kiridashi is an all-purpose knife with a fixed blade from Japan. It was used by both the samurai and the simple farmer and was traditionally carried in the sleeve pocket of the kimono. In today's Japan, the Kiridashi still enjoys great popularity and covers a wide range of uses, be it for carving, peeling or almost any other cutting task imaginable. Cold Steel has optimised this famous utility knife and developed a folding version of this classic!
