Description
The fourth generation Police 4 Lightweight combines the classic features of the original Police design with the benefits of a lightweight, injection-molded handle construction. The bar has been raised even higher and the design has been upgraded with the US-made CPM SPY27 blade steel. Developed exclusively for Spyderco, it reinforces the cobalt-enriched chemistry of VG-10 stainless steel with niobium, nitrogen and increased amounts of carbon, molybdenum and vanadium to provide an exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance and ease of resharpening. The satin-finished, fully flat ground PlainEdge blade takes full advantage of these features and is fitted with a lightweight, fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle in distinctive cobalt blue - one of the signature handle colors of Spyderco's elite SPY27 knife family. The handle also houses the sturdy backlock mechanism, skeletonized stainless steel liners and a four-way reversible pocket clip.
