Description
This elite Sprint Run version of the Native 5 features a blade made of CPM 15V, an exceptional material that offers the highest wear resistance of any cold work steel available today. Its unique alloy composition contains almost 15 percent vanadium, creating an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this results in breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco's limited edition CPM 15V knife family is further enhanced by a special heat treatment protocol developed by renowned knifemaker Shawn Houston. This Native 5 Sprint Run incorporates all the proven elements of this design, including a high-strength back-lock mechanism and a four-way reversible pocket clip. To clearly identify it as a member of the CPM 15V family, it also features brown, removable G10 handle scales and Shawn Houston's “Triple B” logo laser engraved on the back of the full-flat ground blade.
