Description

The Meerkat Burgundy Micro-Melt PD#1 Black Blade Sprint Run is one of Spyderco’s most unique designs. It features the distinctive Phantom Lock mechanism, reminiscent of traditional scale-release folders, which is operated by rotating the handle halves at the butt ends in opposite directions.

This stunning Sprint Run expression elevates this clever design and includes a blade crafted from Carpenter Technology Micro-Melt PD#1. This air-hardening, cold-work die steel is specifically formulated for superior wear resistance and toughness. Its properties are further enhanced through the CarTech Micro-Melt powder metal process, ensuring an extremely fine, homogeneous microstructure.

The full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade of this elite knife is coated with a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) finish. The handle scales are made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) and injection molded in a deep burgundy color. Completing the black-and-burgundy theme, the knife’s reversible tip-down deep-pocket wire clip, full stainless steel liners, and handle hardware also feature durable black coatings.
